1. Η Σχολή Λάμπουσας που δεν λειτουργούσε ως αποτέλεσμα της τουρκικής εισβολής και της κατάληψης των εγκαταστάσεων της στη Λάπηθο, λειτούργησε το 1979 μετά την ανέγερση νέων εγκαταστάσεων στην ελεγχόμενη από την Κυβέρνηση περιοχή. Η λειτουργία του ανεστάλη στις αρχές του 1986.
2. Η Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία κατήργησε επίσημα τη θανατική ποινή για φόνο το 1983 και για όλα τα άλλα αδικήματα το 2002. Η θανατική ποινή στη συνέχεια άλλαξε σε ισόβια κάθειρξη.
3. Τα στοιχεία αναφέρονται στα πρόσωπα σε βάρος των οποίων ολοκληρώθηκε η ποινική δίωξη. Μπορεί να καταδικάστηκαν για αδικήματα που διαπράχθηκαν το εν λόγω έτος ή σε προηγούμενο έτος.
